Empowering the community with early career strategies and solutions
Head Start 4 All is focused on providing proactive career development solutions to students before, during and after graduation. We primarily focus on International students who need guidance navigating career opportunities in a new country. We understand that there are blind spots International Students may have which could cost them internship opportunities during school and lead to set backs when seeking work opportunities as New Graduates where the stress of immigration is also at play. With this in mind, we are passionate about ensuring that we give students a Head Start with their career and set them up for success. We offer various services focused on empowering the community and fostering career development which includes STEM Co-op Readiness Workshops, Resume and Cover Letter guidance, as well as guiding students on how to show up and excel at interviews. The goal is to make sure students are equipped with the right tools and resources to excel and be competitive in the job markets whether it be internships or new graduate opportunities.

Statistically, more than 40% of recruiters spend less than a minute reviewing resumes, with is in mind, we are able to structure and revamp your resume to stand out to recruiters and get you one step closer to the job. Staying current with times, we know the importance of social networking in relation to job search. This is why we offer LinkedIn Profile Revamp to help you stand out to your professional network. We also offer services to improve your Cover Letter and your Interviewing skills.
Career Readiness Workshops for International Students
International students could be at a disadvantage when navigating their careers in a new country. Certain choices and lack of information in the early stages of their foundation could lead to a domino effect of setbacks when they eventually decide to settle in the country after school. With this in mind, Head Start 4 All is focused on providing Career Readiness Workshops focused on getting international students prepared to acquire co-op, internships and eventually post-graduation opportunities.
Speaking Engagements
Head Start 4 All is built of the direct experience of an international student. The founder, Vanessa Takim-Ndifon, P.Eng. was an international student who when making the decision to stay in Canada after successfully completing her degree in Chemical Engineering, was met with the challenge of navigating her new environment for work. With varying challenges including culture shock, visa limitations and a limited social network, she was eventually able to break through into work opportunities that reflected her degree. Through this experience, she has a unique perspective and voice on how to continuously support and improve the international student experience.
